Consolidated as the central meeting point for logistics, cargo transportation, and foreign trade in Latin America, Intermodal South America reaches its 29th edition with major news. The first is a change of venue: the event will be held for the first time at the Anhembi District in São Paulo from April 22 to 24.
“The consistent growth of Intermodal South America with each edition reflects the evolution of the Brazilian economy and the increasing international market demand for more efficient and innovative logistics solutions,” says Fernando D’Ascola, Head of Business for the Infrastructure and Technology portfolio at Informa Markets, the event’s organizer.
The new venue offers modern infrastructure and expanded space, which not only allows for the event’s growth but also accommodates new exhibiting companies on the waiting list in 2024. Strategically located at the intersection of the North-South and East-West axes in São Paulo, Anhembi facilitates access for both visitors and exhibitors.
Innovation, Technology, and Strategic Connections
The 2025 edition will bring together over 500 national and international brands showcasing technologies, equipment, and services for the logistics, intralogistics, and international trade sectors. The event is expected to attract more than 46,000 qualified professionals during its three days.
Among the highlights, the intralogistics segment takes on an even greater role, featuring exhibitors specializing in solutions for handling, storage, automation, and fleet management within distribution centers and warehouses. The expansion of this sector within the event reflects the growing demand for operational efficiency and internal process digitalization — key aspects for companies to remain competitive in a global landscape.
With the rise of e-commerce and increasing supply chain complexity, intralogistics has become central to company strategies in Brazil and abroad. Intermodal provides an ideal environment for manufacturers of forklifts, WMS systems, AGVs, sensors, and management software to showcase their innovations and connect with logistics operators, industries, and retailers seeking greater agility and accuracy in their operations.
Technical and Strategic Content
Intermodal’s content programming has also been expanded. The 3rd Interlog Summit will feature two simultaneous congresses: the 28th National Logistics Conference (CNL), organized by ABRALOG, and the Intermodal South America Congress. The latter will offer four content tracks covering topics such as logistics management, multimodality, intralogistics, foreign trade, sustainability, and decarbonization.
Among the interactive spaces, the fair will include the Intermodal Arena (with open and free content) and the new IT Innovations Arena, focused on showcasing technological solutions from exhibiting companies like Albatroz Mga, Buyco, Checklist Fácil, Connect Sea, Descartes, EC Data, LKM Tecnologia, Mappers, Sigreweb, Smartcomex, Spia Log, and Vixtra Tecnologia.
Additionally, Intermodal will host Desembaraça SP, an event promoted by the São Paulo Customs Brokers Union (SINDASP). On April 23 and 24, from 9 a.m. to noon, specialists, authorities, and foreign trade professionals will participate in lectures, workshops, and discussions on the sector’s challenges and opportunities.
Intermodal as a Global Bridge
Intermodal continues to play a strategic role in connecting Brazil to the international market. The progressing agreement between the European Union and Mercosur has stimulated the participation of European—mainly Spanish—companies in the event.
“The agreement may open new business opportunities and strengthen trade partnerships, which naturally drives increasing interest from international companies,” says D’Ascola.
Topics such as geopolitical and tariff impacts will also be addressed, such as in the panel “Geopolitics and Business Opportunities in Foreign Trade,” which will discuss, among other topics, the potential consequences of a new Donald Trump presidency in the U.S.
With a robust agenda, multiple content formats, and the presence of key industry players, Intermodal South America 2025 reaffirms its leadership as a showcase for innovations, a hub for business, and a strategic forum for the future of logistics and foreign trade in Brazil and Latin America.
