The revenue obtained from Brazilian beef exports, including fresh and processed meat, increased 37% to USD 1.45 billion in June compared to the same month in 2021.
The volume shipped increased by 6.5% compared to the same month of last year, totaling 176,455 tonnes, informed the Brazilian Association of Meatpackers (Abrafrigo) based on data released by the Ministry of Economy. According to Abrafrigo, 109 countries increased their purchases of Brazilian beef, while another 43 decreased the volume.
The association calls attention to the fact that sales abroad reached 1,090,017 tonnes in the first half of the year, up 24% over the same period in 2021. Brazilian beef revenue increased from US$ 4.085 billion in 2021 to US$ $ 6.245 billion in the six months of 2022, up 53%, which reflects, in part, the increase in international prices.
