Itajaí port records 1.3 million tonnes of cargo in December 2022

The Itajaí Port Complex, in December alone, had a throughput of 1,363,463 tonnes, accumulating a year-to-date total of 17,338,848 tonnes. In TEUs (20-foot container unit), the port saw 123,871 TEUs in December – with 1,523,875 TEUs YTD.
In December alone, 83 vessels were operated in the complex, while the year ended with a total of 981 vessels.
In Maneuvering Basins 01 and 02, a total of 78 turns were recorded in December alone. Year-to-date, from January to December, 900 turns were registered in the two basin areas, in front of the port and Baia Affonso Wippel (Saco da Fazenda).
At the Port of Itajaí (Public berths and APM Terminals/leased area), December ended with 15,464 TEUs. In terms of tonnage, the recorded movement was 192,842, with 22 ships operated. From January to December, the port registered 350,083 TEUs and 4,154,695 tonnes in total.
At Portonave, the month of December ended with 108,389 TEUs. In terms of tonnage, the registered movement was 1,140,074, with 57 ships operated. The throughput from January to December was 1,173,594 TEUs and 12,820,899 tonnes.
The TUP Teporti recorded two calls in the month, with 13,793 in tonne handling. From January to December, it had 35 ships operated and 178,891 tonnes handled.
TUP Poly Terminais did not record any movement in the last month of the year. However, from January to December, it had six ships operated and 30,591 tonnes handled.
The TUP Braskarne recorded two calls in the month, with 12,578 in tonne handling. From January to December, it had 19 ships operated and 83,631 tonnes handled.
The TUP Barra do Rio recorded two calls in the month, with 4,176 in tonne handling. From January to December, 14 ships were operated, and 70,141 tonnes were moved.
