Itajaí requests extension of municipal public port authority maintenance agreement and revision plan

The municipality of Itajaí filed requests to extend the delegation agreement and revision plan for the maintenance of the municipal public port authority on July 9th in Florianópolis. The documents were delivered to representatives of the federal government at ALESC (legislative assembly of Santa Catarina) and via electronic protocol to federal authorities in Brasília.
The list of documents includes the amendment to extend the 25-year agreement between the federal government and the municipality of Itajaí, responsible for municipalizing the port authority and revising the polygonal of the Itajaí public port. The voluntary dismissal plan and the plan for the new organizational structure of the superintendence of the Port of Itajaí. Proof of improvements in the structure of the municipal authority and proof of expense reductions were also delivered.
The official letter and its attachments were delivered by the Mayor of Itajaí, Volnei Morastoni, and by the superintendent of the Port of Itajaí, Fábio da Veiga, into the hands of the national secretary of Ports and Waterway Transport, Diogo Piloni e Silva, on Tuesday morning (November 9th). The meeting took place before the public hearing on the privatization of the Ports of Santa Catarina, in the capital of Santa Catarina.
