JBS stated in a note issued on the 18th that it started producing fertilizers in Brazil. To operate in the segment, the New Business division of JBS created Campo Forte Fertilizantes, which has already begun operating a factory in the municipality of Guaiçara (SP).
The unit, which will have the capacity to manufacture 150 thousand tonnes per year, received investments worth R$ 134 million. With this new operating branch, the company is making progress toward achieving a net balance of zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040,” the company said in a statement.
Campo Forte will produce a line of organic, organomineral, and special fertilizers, using organic waste and mineral raw materials. The operation will serve both companies (B2B) and final consumers (B2C), with a consultative and technical sales proposal supported by laboratory analyzes and support in making purchase decisions.
Initially, the company will prioritize sales efforts for soybean, corn, coffee, sugar cane, fruit, vegetables, pastures, and forests.
