June chicken meat exports amount to third-largest volume ever shipped by Brazil

Chicken meat exports from Brazil reached 432,500 tonnes in June, up 8.8% year-on-year and the third-largest volume in history, according to a report by the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) published on July 6th.
With the industry’s good performance and a global food inflation scenario, the revenue from June chicken meat exports grew 46.3% to $951.7 million.

The data showed that total exports for the first half reached 2.423 million tonnes, up 8% from the first six months of 2021.
In revenue, the increase for the semester is 36% to 4.728 billion dollars.
