Kuehne+Nagel aims at increasing its participation in the industrial sector

Kuehne+Nagel enhanced its end-to-end industrial solutions to improve customer experience and expand its participation in the industrial sector. The company now serves the industry through three specialized sub-segments, attempting to capitalize on the synergy of needs of customers who face similar logistical challenges.
In one of these sub-segments, Kuehne+Nagel grouped companies that produce components for the technology sector, such as, for example, machines and equipment for automation (Industry 4.0). This change will enable combining suppliers to consolidate cargo loads and develop critical mass transport.
Customers who supply solar energy implements have specific solutions, whose key feature is deconsolidation, and Kuehne+Nagel can work with the import of parts from Asia that will be installed in homes and other locations throughout the country, for example.
Companies whose businesses are focused on producing special materials (chemical industry, for example), and inputs for automakers, such as painting and coating, were also grouped. In this case, special care and handling are required to transport such inputs.
“Our ability to connect carriers is our greatest asset. We have a solid supplier management code of conduct, as well as consolidated processes, experience, and quality standards that make us stand out. During the pandemic, the industry’s customer-facing area was very resilient; we serve sectors where demand has increased rather than decreased. We anticipate an increase in demand in the future, and as a logistics operator, we are prepared to provide end-to-end solutions, not just air or sea freight from point A to point B,” explained Gabriel Adami, National Industry Champion at Kuehne+Nagel in Brazil.
Over the next five years, Kuehne+Nagel’s objective is to increase the multimodal business volume for the industrial sector in the South and Central America region, mainly in strategic areas with greater potential for economic expansion, such as industrial automation, renewable energies, and the chemical industry.
