Localfrio is certified by the Ministry of Agriculture

Mapa (Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply) granted the seal of reinspection of animal-derived goods to Localfrio. This is the first time that Localfrio’s Suape (PE) unit has gained government accreditation. As a result, the corporation is now authorized to export any animal-derived product straight to the consumer.
“It is a great accomplishment to have Mapa award this authorization to our Suape unit. We can make the customs procedure faster and more efficient with this certificate, which we already have in other units. Thus, we save our clients time (at least five days) and money by removing unnecessary tasks,” highlights Frederico Sá, manager of Localfrio.
Localfrio had to meet various conditions to receive the accreditation, such as adapting the facilities, purchasing new equipment, training and guiding the crew to adhere to additional safety regulations. The rite mobilized several employees and different departments to assess the company’s management procedures and operational quality.
Following inspection and analysis, Mapa issued an official document authorizing Localfrio’s operations in Suape (PE). The certificate is valid indefinitely and is subject to verification of the procedures adopted by the Localfrio unit in Pernambuco.
