On April 18th, Log-In Logística Intermodal S.A. announced their new Express Amazonas Service aimed at meeting the logistics demands of the North region of Brazil, especially the Manaus Industrial Pole.
The Express Amazonas Service establishes a direct route between Manaus and the Port of Santos, with no stops along the way, reducing the transit time between these ports to approximately nine (9) days. In the northbound direction, the service will stop at the ports of Santos, Navegantes (SC), Salvador (BA), Suape (PE), and Pecém (CE).
The new service will begin operating in the 2nd quarter of this year, initially employing two additional ships to Log-In’s fleet, chartered for use in cabotage operations. Initially, the service will operate with biweekly departures and regular shipments, granting more flexibility to calling date and increased capacity for transporting cargo inbound and outbound Manaus, which includes a wide range of products such as food, beverages, electronics, and appliances, among others.
The objective of the Express Amazonas Service is to meet the logistics needs of customers in the North region of Brazil, which are related to the transit time of cargo from the Manaus Free Zone, offering faster transportation of products to the Southeast and South regions with lower logistics costs and an increase in capacity for the transport of goods between Santos and Manaus.
In addition to meeting the region’s demands, Log-In’s new service expands the benefits generated from Cabotage, associated mainly with safety and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices.
“The start of the new service is linked to Log-In’s current business expansion plan. We understand the needs of Manaus’ customers and thus have developed a fast, efficient, secure, and sustainable logistics solution with strategically planned stops, greater capacity, and better transit time,” says Felipe Gurgel, Commercial Director of Log-In.
