
Lula chooses Márcio França as new Minister of Ports and Airports

Márcio França was appointed Minister of Ports and Airports in the next Lula administration, which will begin on January 1, 2023.
The announcement was made on Thursday morning (22) at a press conference with the president-elect.
França was born on June 23, 1963, in São Vicente, on the coast of the state of São Paulo. The Minister has a degree in Law from the University of Santos.
Among Lula’s appointee for the Ministry of Ports many challenges, França will have to navigate the privatization of the Santos Port Authority (SPA), which manages the Port of Santos, as well to complete the works on the Metropolitan Civil Airport at the Santos Air Base in neighboring Guarujá.
