The Secretariat of Trade and International Relations of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) launched AgroInsight last Thursday (23), an innovative tool designed to identify business opportunities and consolidate Brazil’s position as a leader in the international market for agricultural products.

Presented by Secretary Luís Rua, the initiative reflects the directives of Minister Carlos Fávaro, who has prioritized expanding trade promotion and strengthening Brazil’s presence in over 300 markets opened in the past two years. These efforts have already yielded significant results, driving more excellent product and market diversification, stimulating the economy, and generating jobs and income, particularly in the country’s rural regions.

912 Strategic Reports for 2025

One of AgroInsight’s key features is the provision of 912 strategic reports throughout 2025, averaging 76 documents per month. Prepared by agricultural attachés stationed abroad, the reports cover animal-origin products (38) and plant-origin products (38) in each edition, presenting at least two specific business opportunities for each target market.

These documents provide critical information on consumer demands, regulations, and global trends, effectively bridging the gap between Brazilian producers and exporters and international market demands. The initiative complements the efforts of MAPA, Brazilian embassies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce, and Services (MDIC), and ApexBrasil, fostering a more favorable environment for Brazilian exporters to expand their global presence.

Public-Private Partnership and Competitiveness

Minister Carlos Fávaro highlighted that AgroInsight symbolizes progress in the partnership between the public and private sectors, strengthening the competitiveness of Brazilian agribusiness. “AgroInsight is not just a tool but a compendium of opportunities that connects Brazil to the global market. It reaffirms our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and growth for agribusiness exports.”

Strategic Impact on Brazilian Agribusiness

Initially, the reports will be made available to agribusiness trade associations to guide strategies and enable more informed decision-making. Luís Rua, MAPA Secretary, emphasized the importance of the initiative: “The information provided aligns with the need to support the productive sector with high-quality data, enabling more assertive decisions and strengthening the strategic role of agricultural attachés in advancing Brazilian agribusiness in international trade.”

With AgroInsight, Brazil has the opportunity to consolidate its position as one of the world’s largest exporters of agricultural products, reinforcing MAPA’s strategic role in promoting the sector’s sustainable and competitive development.
