May operations indicate large handling rates at the Port of Imbituba

Imbituba Logistica Portuária (ILP) reached the milestone of 1 million tonnes handled during May at the Port of Imbituba. The volume achieved by ILP adds to the 2.5 million tonnes transported in the port so far.
ILP’s movement this year is predominantly characterized by loading and unloading operations in the mineral bulk sector. The loads handled by the operator so far were coke, iron ore, salt, and wood logs.
