Two men were caught and arrested by the Military Police in Brazil for breaking open a train car and stealing soybeans from a railroad in São Vicente, on the coast of São Paulo. One of the offenders tried to flee but was promptly located by the authorities.
According to the law enforcers, security agents were patrolling a local freeway on the inland zone of the city when they saw two men stealing grain from a halted wagon that the criminals had broken open.
Upon seeing the police, one of the men fled toward the forested area. The military detained the other criminal, who was responsible for driving the vehicle where the stolen grains would be transported.
Eight bags of soybeans, each holding 60kg of the grain, totaling 480kg, were discovered in the bed of the truck the perpetrators were using.
The police called representatives of the freight company to accompany the presentation of the occurrence in the 3rd Police District of São Vicente.
According to the police, the two detainees were at the disposal of the Judiciary Police, and the stolen cargo was returned to those responsible.
