Minerva (BEEF3) announced to the market that led, on May 2nd, the first shipment of a certified carbon-free product in Uruguay.
“By receiving the CO2 neutral seal granted by an independent organization with certification procedures in over 100 countries, Minerva Foods can prove that it measured all scope 1 and 3 emissions throughout the entire production process, thus utilizing carbon credits to offset emissions,” commented the company in an official statement.
Minerva has been carbon-free in scope two since 2020.
“We started working towards obtaining this new certification seal in our Uruguayan production lines given the best practices adopted by local ranchers in reducing GHG emissions,” said the CEO of Minerva Foods, Fernando Queiroz. “Uruguay is a strategic country for our company, which provides entry into major world markets.”
