Out of this total, 4.4 million tonnes were shipped from the Port of São Francisco do Sul, representing 9.3% of the grains.

Exports to the Asian country from the northern port of Santa Catarina grew by 52%, rising from 2.9 million tons to 4.4 million tons.
“Santa Catarina is proud to be a freight corridor for the country and continues to contribute to national logistics,” said Beto Martins, the state secretary of Ports, Airports, and Railways.
“This statistic fills us with pride because it shows that São Francisco do Sul remains one of the country’s main ports, helping to strengthen the economy of Santa Catarina and Brazil,” celebrated President Cleverton Vieira, noting that there are 175 port facilities in the country.
“We are the 9th largest public port in Brazil in cargo movement.”
