G5 Logística, a company closely associated with SINDOMAR (Maranhão Port Operators Union), kickstarted a significant operation at the Port of Itaqui in São Luís, further strengthening the logistics chain in the region. This marks the beginning of the Aluminum Operation, a result of a strategic commercial partnership with Alumar and Emap (Maranhense Port Administration Company).
The total cargo for this operation is estimated to be 15 thousand tonnes of aluminum, divided into batches of 1,000 to 1,500 tonnes destined for the Port of Rotterdam (Netherlands). The first batch arrived at the Port of Itaqui’s pre-boarding area on the 13th of last month, and the first ship to be loaded in this operation is expected to arrive at the terminal on December 4th. Following the unloading at the port of destination, G5 will begin loading the total estimated cargo of 15 thousand tonnes.
G5 Logística is taking on this operation for Alumar, one of the country’s major aluminum producers. This partnership aims to enhance logistic processes, ensuring greater efficiency and cost reduction for both companies.
