New Export Markets: Paraguay Expands International Presence with Six Products in August

The Investment and Export Network (Rediex) reported on new export markets Paraguay entered in August 2024, showcasing its growth on the international stage with key products from the agricultural and manufacturing sectors.
One notable achievement was the export of used cooking oil to Colombia, valued at USD 58,995, marking progress in the trade of recyclable and sustainable products.
Latvia emerged as a new destination for Paraguayan peanuts, worth USD 74,428, underscoring the quality of the country’s agro-export sector.
In the vegetable oil segment, Paraguay consolidated its leadership in soybean-derived products, expanding soybean oil exports to the Dominican Republic in a contract valued at USD 415,990.
Paraguay also strengthened trade ties with Argentina, diversifying its products in strategic markets. In the industrial sector, Argentina received genamin—a chemical used in personal care products—for USD 81,819, along with steel billets for USD 107,200.
The meat sector also saw progress, with the export of bovine salted casings to Bolivia reaching USD 90,662, highlighting the potential of Paraguayan meat products in the region.
With these new markets, Paraguay is solidifying its position as a key player in the export of agricultural, industrial, and consumer products, aligned with the government’s vision of sustainable economic growth.
