
Nine export markets affected by BRF chicken recall

Brazilian meatpacker, BRF SA has recalled chicken produced between October and November last year in Dourados plant due to possible salmonella contamination. Yesterday, the company disclosed the list of nine export destinations affected by the recall.
According to Reuters, the export markets affected are Japan, China, Kuwait, Ghana, Bahrain, Gambia, Oman, Angola, and Cuba.
In a statement to the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), the company admitted calling back 164.7tons of fresh chicken for sale in the domestic market, as well as 299.6tons destined for export.
