According to a report from the Paraguayan Chamber of Exporters and Traders of Grains and Oilseeds (CAPECO), between July 2022 and March 2023, Paraguay exported 3 million tons more of corn in the 2022 campaign compared to the 2021 season.
This increase in production allowed for a total of 4.563 million tons of corn to be exported by the end of March, representing a significant increase of 3.037 million tons compared to the 1.525 million tons shipped during the same period in the 2021 campaign.
The pace of corn shipments during the 2022 season has slowed down, which is attributed to the campaign starting in July of last year. It is expected to come to a close in April of this year. Nevertheless, the harvest fully supplied the domestic market and enabled record-breaking exports.
