May, 29, 2024 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202422
The Brazilian government announced another market opening process finalized. This time, Peru authorized the export of bovine and pork blood products from Brazil, intended for use in animal feed. These blood products are used to enhance the nutritional value of animal diets.
This development marks the third market opening in Peru for Brazilian agricultural products in less than six months. In 2023, Brazilian agricultural exports to Peru exceeded $724 million, with significant contributions from forest products, meat, and soy. In the first four months of 2024, exports have already reached approximately $208 million.
Since January 2024, Brazil has opened 46 new markets in 27 countries, bringing the total to 124 new markets in 51 countries since the beginning of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s third term.
These achievements result from the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
