With all the changes that are happening in the Asian trade, Pacific International Line (PIL) announced that it will also make changes to its service to expand its market and better serve its customers.
Since February 2018 PIL has ceased operating in services operated by others to begin its own service known as Sino South America, serving the Far East market. Now the operator said that together with Cosco and CMA-CMG, it will make changes in 2 phases.
1st stage:
– Cosco and CMA-CGM will buy slots in the service operated by PIL (SSA).
– PIL will purchase slots on vessels operated by Cosco and CMA-CGM in the ASAS service (ESA/SEAS/ASIA) SL I.
Another important change will be in the port rotation. Until now PIL’s SSA service operated at ports in Argentina and Uruguay, however with the new restructuring, the service will be dedicated only to Brazil.
Old rotation: BRRIO, BRSSZ, BRPNG, BRNVT, UYMVD, ARBUE, SGSIN, HKHKG, CNSHA, CNNGB, CNSHK, SGSIN, BRRIO
New rotation: Qingdao – Shanghai – Ningbo – Shekou – Singapore – Sepetiba – Santos – Paranagua – Itapoa – Navegantes – Santos – Singapore – Qingdao
2nd stage:
The second phase will begin in April, with PIL having its own vessels in the ASAS (ESA/SEAS/ASIA) SL I service, and Cosco and CMA-CGM will have their own vessels in the Sino South America (SSA) service.
