Pork export revenue rises 37% in September

According to information from SECEX (the foreign trade secretariat), exports of fresh, frozen, and refrigerated pork ended September with record volumes and revenue above the levels reached in August this year and in September 2020.
More than 101,000 tons were exported in September and the US$ 242,313,039 revenue from pork exports in September was 37.7% greater than the amount obtained in September 2020, which was $176,050,534. In the case of exported volume, the volume of 101,896,562 tons shipped was 34% higher than the total volume exported in September last year, of 76,053,908 tons.
Comparing the result of the closing of September with the figures obtained in August, this month’s turnover of US$ 242,313,039 is 23.5% higher than the US$ 196,103,198 registered in August. The volume shipped in September, 101,896,562 tons, increased by 25% compared to the amount shipped in August, of 81,601,549 tons.

The average daily revenue until the fourth week of the month was US$ 11,538.716, 37.64% greater than in September 2020. In comparison with the previous week, there was a drop of 12.6%.
Average daily tons reached 4,852,217, an increase of 33.98% compared to the same month in 2020. When compared to the previous week, there was a decrease of 12.5%.
The price paid per ton, US$ 2378,029 in September, is 2.73% higher than last September. Compared to the value the previous week, the result represents a slight decline of 0.1%.
