Port Authority amends terminal lease contract in Santos

The Port Authority of Santos (APS) and Terminal XXXIX (T-39) have signed a new addendum to the lease contract for an area on the Right Bank of the Port of Santos. The term relates to the adjustment of the deadline for presenting the executive project of the investment plan provided for the early extension of the lease contract, which was the subject of the second addendum signed in 2000.
T-39 leases an area of 45,000 square meters at Ponta da Praia, in Santos, for the reception, storage and shipment of soybeans, corn and bran. This is already the fifth addendum to contract 1/97-A.
The fourth addendum promoted the expansion of the terminal area, which is the subject of the investments. The lessee requested a change in the start of the six month deadline for presenting the plan, which would commence from the signing of the document in December 2023 to March 2024, since the expanded area was not available for the technical work required to develop the project until then.
APS accepted the justification and signed the fifth addendum with the adjusted deadline. The terminal is owned by Caramuru Alimentos and Rumo, each holding 50% of the shares.
