The Authorities of the General Port Administration of Argentina have published the Buenos Aires Port Infrastructure Master Plan on their website, which details the development of the modernization project for Argentina’s only federal port. The Buenos Aires Port Master Plan includes works that will be carried out with a total public and private investment of US$1.91bn, with a flexible design, able to adapt to the needs of the next 50 years in a more competitive manner, meeting the environmental and quality standards with balance, generating new spaces for the whole society. It was developed by the General Administration of Ports and was elaborated with the collaboration of the national and international port community.

“The master plan is the result of the work done by the entire Buenos Aires Port team to modernize Argentina’s only federal port to boost foreign trade in our country, increase competitiveness and generate new markets for Argentine production. We support this project and consulted the entire national and international port community to learn about their needs and experiences. During these 4 years, we are moving forward in response to a historic debt like never before, a work that will last forever and this will benefit millions of Argentines.” Says Gonzalo Mórtola, authority of the Port of Buenos Aires.
