The new Development and Zoning Plan (DZP) for the Port of Fortaleza was approved by the Ministry of Infrastructure on December 10, through Decree No. 1498, published in the federal official gazette. Prepared by Companhia Docas do Ceará, the document details the expected use of the port areas in the short term (4 years), medium-term (10 years), and long-term (more than 10 years). More than 330,000 m² of operating areas are already available for lease or will be available during the next four years.
In order to define the use of each of the areas, in addition to criteria for evaluating the vocation and the expectation of growth in the movement of cargo and passengers, the company prioritized attracting private investments by making operational and non-operating areas available for concession. The DZP is composed of a textual part and a georeferenced database that are already available for consultation on the CDC website.
