Port of Imbituba sees high turnover in August

The Port of Imbituba moved 667,100 tons in August, a growth of 19.45% compared to the same period last year. In the accumulated result for the year, the port registered an increase of 15.44% in transported cargo compared to the same period of 2020. In 2021, more than 4.3 million tons and 190 vessels have already passed through the Imbituba port complex.
Last month, 29 vessels were serviced in 33 berths. The cargo with the highest volume handled was coke, with more than 100,000 tons moved; operations were mainly for imports. The record handling level resulted in the best month of August since SCPAR Porto de Imbituba took over the port authority in 2012
