Now under the Santos Port Authority (APS) oversight, the Port of Itajaí is entering a new phase, which federal administrators view as highly promising. Anderson Pomini, president of APS, highlighted the strategic priorities: “Our focus is on implementing a strategic vision to enhance governance, modernize port infrastructure, and expand cargo throughput at the Port of Itajaí.” Interim superintendent André Bonini added, “The outlook for 2025 is to carry out structural improvements that will boost the port’s competitiveness, drive greater operational efficiency, and attract new business opportunities.”
Despite the decline recorded in 2024, the Port of Itajaí remains one of Brazil’s most significant port complexes. Its performance underscores its critical role in both regional and national economies. With new investments and partnership plans, the administration is committed to fostering recovery and driving growth in the coming years.
