The Brazilian Federal Revenue Service renewed the Port of Itajaí customs for another two years. The publication that made the decision official was published on Thursday, December 22. The renewal, valid from January 1, 2023, guarantees the license to carry out cargo activities and receive cruise ships.
The renewal of customs at the Port of Itajaí includes both the leased area, under concession by APM Terminals, and the public wharf (berths 3 and 4). This area will be under the jurisdiction of the Federal Revenue Service, which will carry out customs inspection, including movement control, storage, and dispatch services.

A customs authority present at the port enables the Port of Itajaí to receive cargo from various countries safely and appropriately. Furthermore, the customs renewal attests the port adheres to good practices on excess control, loading and unloading goods, weighing, handling, and storage of various types of containers, as well as maintaining a security camera system and current clearance certificates.
