Dec, 14, 2022 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202250
Portonave now offers a new service line, the Far East India Latin America Service (FIL) from Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM). With the service change from Itajaí to Navegantes, the terminal will be the only one in Santa Catarina to receive vessels following the FIL route. The first call is scheduled for the last week of December and should continue weekly after that.
The service connects South America, passing through only three Brazilian ports, namely Navegantes, Santos, and Paranaguá, and through Argentina, Buenos Aires, and also Montevideo. On the Asia and India route, the ship passes through Busan, Shanghai, Singapore, Ningbo, Shekou, Kattupalli, Durban, and Hong Kong.
The main export products of the FIL line are frozen meat and its derivatives, wood and its derivatives, and food. In imports are textiles, machinery, rubber and derivatives, chemicals, and plastics and derivatives.
