Port of Rio Grande to Auction RIG 10 Area for Cargo Handling and Storage

The Port of Rio Grande will auction off another public area with the aid of Brazil’s National Agency for Waterborne Transportation (ANTAQ). This area, known as RIG 10, comprises the structures of warehouses A6, C1, C2, the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Central, and Annex B3 Warehouse, totaling a space of 8,610 square meters.
The Auction Notice was published by the regulatory agency in Tuesday’s edition (2) of the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU), with the bidding set to take place on May 23 at the B3 headquarters in São Paulo. Also included in this lot are areas in the ports of Recife and Rio de Janeiro.
According to ANTAQ, the leasing of these spaces will occur under a simplified model, with a maximum usage period of ten years and no possibility of extension. RIG 10, designated for cargo handling and storage, is expected to receive an investment of R$ 7.8 million.
