Port of Santa Catarina has 39 thousand tons of fertilizers prevented from being unloaded

Part of the fertilizer that will be used in the next harvest in Santa Catarina is being detained at the port of São Francisco do Sul.
Since the beginning of the month, three ships with 39,000 tons of raw material are still waiting to dock. According to FECAGRO (the federation of agricultural cooperatives of Santa Catarina), this is happening because the direction of the port prioritized the unloading of other products, such as steel.
With the stock low, the agricultural calendar is threatened, since fertilizer and seed should go into the ground by a specific date.
In the state, at least 70,000 farmers depend on the merchandise.
