Port of Santos Authority Launches Pricing Survey for Vessel Traffic Management System
Aug, 27, 2024 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek
The Santos Port Authority (APS) is conducting a pricing survey to guide the bidding process for implementing the Vessel Traffic Management and Information System (VTMIS) at the Port of Santos. The purpose of this consultation is to evaluate the service’s market value and promote competition for the contract.
Participation rules are available on the Port of Santos website. Contributions from interested companies are voluntary and do not obligate APS to contract the services, nor do they require the company to provide the quote to participate in the bidding process.
Participants will be required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement to access the project’s technical specifications, which APS will send to interested parties.
APS will hold a project presentation on September 2 for those participating in the consultation to clarify any potential questions about the process.
VTMIS
The VTMIS enhances the vessel traffic monitoring system, incorporating advanced equipment and technological tools to manage the port comprehensively. Its primary objectives are to ensure the safety and efficiency of navigation and port operations, safeguard human life at sea, and protect the environment.
