Feb, 18, 2025 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202506
The Santos Port Authority (APS) and the National Ports Parliamentary Front have announced the rescheduling of the public hearing to discuss the expansion of truck parking areas and the development of future logistics condominiums at the Port of Santos. Initially planned for February 26, the event will now occur on March 14 at 5:00 PM at the APS auditorium.
The primary focus of the hearing will be to address the installation of four off-port logistics condominiums in the municipalities of Guarujá, São Vicente, Santos, and Cubatão. These facilities will have the capacity to manage truck access and accommodate over 2,800 vehicles, providing infrastructure and services for truck drivers. With the ongoing expansion of the Port of Santos and the daily movement of approximately 8,000 trucks, these areas are vital for organizing traffic flow and minimizing the impacts on surrounding municipalities.
The hearing will feature key figures, including the president of APS, Anderson Pomini, and the coordinator of the National Ports Parliamentary Front, federal deputy Rosana Valle, along with representatives from the Executive and Legislative branches, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, regulatory agencies, trade unions, sector entities, and civil society.
Members of the public wishing to attend the hearing must present a photo ID and CPF number at the entrance, which will be used solely for security purposes.
The Santos Port Authority is located on Avenida Conselheiro Rodrigues Alves, near Rua Rodrigo Silva, in the Macuco neighborhood of Santos.
