The Brazilian National Waterborne Transportation Agency (ANTAQ) is set to host Public Hearing 06/2024 on April 24th, aiming to gather input, feedback, and recommendations to enhance the technical and legal frameworks concerning the bidding process for the lease of terminal RDJ07.
Scheduled to commence at 2:30 PM, the virtual session for the terminal, situated at the Port of Rio de Janeiro (RJ), will be broadcast live, recorded, and later made accessible on ANTAQ’s YouTube channel. Attendance at the Public Hearing does not require prior registration.
Operating as a hub for offshore support cargo, the terminal is anticipated to draw an investment of 101.7 million over the proposed 25-year lease term.
Those wishing to participate in the hearing are required to register via the “WhatsApp” messaging application at +55 (61) 2029-6940. Contributions can be submitted in various formats, including video, audio, or written submissions. Registration will be open from 9 AM to 3 PM on April 23, 2024.
Alternatively, participants can engage in the discussion by joining the designated meeting room on the “Teams” application. Interested parties should indicate their preference during registration and provide their email address associated with the “Teams” platform to receive an invitation to join the discussion.
Regarding contributions, stakeholders have until May 8, 2024, to submit their feedback exclusively through the electronic form available on ANTAQ’s official website. Contributions sent through other channels will not be considered.
Additionally, participants have the option to include digital attachments, such as maps, blueprints, or photographs, by emailing them to [email protected]. All submissions must include the contributor’s identification and adhere to the specified deadline.
In the event that participants encounter difficulty submitting their contributions electronically, alternative arrangements can be made to submit them in person at the General Secretariat (SGE) of ANTAQ in Brasília/DF or at one of its Regional Units, the addresses of which are provided on ANTAQ’s website.
