Donations collected by the Santos Port Authority (APS) for those affected by the floods in Rio Grande do Sul have been dispatched and are en route for delivery. The container carrying these materials was loaded on May 29 at the DP World Terminal.
The container, provided by Log-In Logística Integrada, holds approximately 18 tons of donations, including food, cleaning products, clothing, blankets, and mattresses. It was shipped aboard the vessel Log-In Endurance, heading south via cabotage shipping.
Since the beginning of May, APS has been designated as a collection point for donations. Individuals can drop off contributions at the APS training center, while larger quantities are picked up by APS through a scheduled collection system.
The collection effort will continue indefinitely. Additional donations from the port community will be shipped next week. Currently, the most needed items are new underwear, bedding, and cleaning supplies.
The APS training center, located on Avenida Conselheiro Rodrigues Alves next to the Port Museum, will accept donations on the holiday and Saturday (closed on Sunday).
For scheduling the pickup of larger donations, please contact via email at [email protected] or by phone at (13) 99119-2311.
