The city of Canarana, in Mato Grosso do Sul State, is going to modify a decree that had put a stop to operations of a large portion of local industries in order to contain the spread of the coronavirus. The change will reverse a ban that prevented global trading companies from transporting grain out of the city. This information was provided by Mayor Fábio de Faria. The decree had been published on March 22, which interrupted the flow of goods and operations of global trading companies that operate in the region such as Cargill , Louis Dreyfus and Cofco.
