Rumo Achieves Yearly Targets with a 15% Surge in Transported Volumes for December

In December, Brazilian logistics company Rumo transported 6.10 billion ton-kilometers (TKU), marking a 15% increase from the previous year but a 5.9% decline from the volumes transported in November.
The company reported that agricultural products accounted for 5.1 billion TKU during the month, with a notable contribution of 2.97 billion TKU from corn, 941 million TKU from soybean meal, and 542 million TKU from fertilizers.
Industrial products totaled 741 million TKU in December, with fuels accounting for 471 million TKU for the month, while containers reached 353 million TKU.
In 2023, Rumo transported 77.2 billion TKU, representing a 3% growth compared to the previous year. This figure aligns with the company’s target to transport between 76 billion and 78 billion TKU for the year.
Rumo publishes tables with the results of volumes transported by the company on its website every sixth business day of each month.
