Rumo sees 1.8% growth in transported volumes in September

Rumo transported 7.39 billion ton-kilometers (TKU) in September, registering a 1.8% year-over-year increase. Compared to August, the figure remained stable, with a marginal growth of just 0.09%.
Agricultural products accounted for 6.11 billion TKU in the month, with corn leading at 3.68 billion TKU, followed by soybean meal at 903 million TKU, and fertilizers at 551 million TKU.
Industrial products totaled 934 million TKU in September, with fuels making up 485 million TKU. Container transport reached 344 million TKU during the period.
In the third quarter, Rumo transported a total of 21.6 billion TKU, reflecting a 2.4% increase compared to the same period last year. The monthly average for the quarter was 7.21 billion TKU.
The company publishes the transported volume results on its website every sixth business day of the month.
