
Russia allows the purchase of animal-derived flour from 10 Brazilian meatpacking plants

Russia expanded its list of purchases from Brazilian meatpackers this month. On April 25, its Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) authorized ten Brazilian exporting units to ship animal-derived flour utilized in animal feed.
Five of the newly authorized units are JBS plants (from the Seara Alimentos and JBS Aves units) and two are from Alibem. Barra Mansa, Frigorífico Floresta and Irmãos Gonçalves complete the list.
On the 14th, Russia had already enabled a Seara unit, located in Paraná, to export poultry meat and by-products to the country, in addition to flour.
