Santos Brasil commenced the remodeling works of one of the five cargo warehouses of its Industrial Customs Logistic Center – Clia Santos. The initiative, which involves around R$ 12 million in investments, will increase Clia’s pallet storage capacity by almost 24%, up from the current 5,524 pallet positions to 6,824 in total after the project is completed in April 2023.
In addition to investing in the verticalization of Warehouse 1, Santos Brasil is also developing a new management system, which will bring considerable productivity gains to Clia’s internal logistics flows.
With such changes, the company will increase the quality and the offer of its container storage, stuffing, and unloading services. For Ricardo Buteri, Commercial Director of Santos Brasil, the investments in Clia Santos will expand the company’s storage operations, expand the logistical capacity of the port of Santos and meet the growing demand for this type of service.
“The investments will promote the expansion of the range of services offered by Santos Brasil Logística to the bonded break-bulk market. In addition, we will have a ‘state-of-the-art warehouse and systems and processes that will guarantee a high level of efficiency and safety, ensuring the quality of the customer experience,” it says.
