Santos Brasil enters Brazilian Exchange’s Sustainability Index

In 2023, Santos Brasil will be part of the Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE) of B3, the Brazilian stock exchange, which brings together a select group of companies committed to goods practices of ESG, which stands for “environmental, social and governance.”
The 18th ISE B3 recognition will be in effect from January 1st to December 31st, 2023, and will include 70 companies listed on the stock exchange. The ISE B3’s goal is to be an indicator of the average performance of asset prices of companies chosen for their recognized commitment to corporate sustainability, assisting investors in making investment decisions and encouraging companies to adopt the best sustainability practices.
Santos Brasil has been a signatory to the UN Global Compact since 2013, is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, and has already committed to actively contributing to the conservation of the environment and human development.
Since 2016, the Company has been listed on B3’s Novo Mercado, the highest standard of corporate governance. In October 2020, its shares became part of the S&P/B3 Brasil ESG index, which includes companies with good practices in environmental preservation and social development and high standards of Corporate Governance; in 2022, they became part of the ICO2 (Efficient Carbon Index), focused on the best practices in sustainability and environmental preservation, and the IGPTW, which brings together companies with best practices in the labor market.
