The Santos Port Authority (APS), the federal state-owned company that manages the Port of Santos, closed the year 2024 with historic financial results, solidifying its position as one of the most efficient port administrations in the country. The company reported a net profit of R$ 844.6 million, a remarkable 29.8% increase compared to 2023, reflecting strong management performance and increased cargo handling at the Port of Santos.
APS’s gross revenue reached R$1.86 billion, a 5.2% increase over the R$1.77 billion recorded the previous year. Net operating revenue totaled R$1.64 billion, up 5.5% from 2023. Operating profit before financial results saw a significant 29% jump, reaching R$1.01 billion. EBITDA also showed substantial growth of 27.3%, reaching R$1.06 billion, with an EBITDA margin of 64.2%, reinforcing the company’s operational efficiency.
APS’s financial results are largely driven by the record performance of the Port of Santos, which handled 179.8 million tons in 2024, a 3.8% increase compared to 2023. This unprecedented volume underscores the importance of the Santos port complex for Brazil’s foreign trade and its ability to meet the growing demand for world-class logistics infrastructure.

APS President Anderson Pomini celebrated the figures and highlighted the positive impact of the strategies implemented throughout the year. “The results achieved in 2024 demonstrate the Santos Port Authority’s strength and our operations’ efficiency. In addition to the significant net profit and revenue growth, the Port of Santos recorded the highest cargo volume in its history, proving its relevance to Brazil’s economic development. This performance reinforces our commitment to port modernization and expansion, ensuring competitiveness and efficiency for the years ahead,” Pomini stated.
With a positive outlook and promising prospects, APS remains focused on implementing new operational improvements, investing in infrastructure, and fostering innovation, consolidating the Port of Santos as South America’s leading logistics hub.
