
Saudi Arabia announces country is now open to Uruguay meat

Last Monday, January 13, the SFDA, the health authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, announced the country is now open for imports of Uruguayan beef and sheep meat and offal, opening new business opportunities for Uruguayan beef exports abroad.
According to the Uruguayan Ministry of Agriculture, the market opening process was completed after several steps, including Halal certification audits, refrigeration facility audits and the entire Sanitary Authority system.
