Saudi Arabia has opened its market to exports of Brazilian seeds of various species, announced the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and Foreign Affairs in a press statement. The government highlighted the Saudi market’s significant potential, driven by its increasing demand for seed imports, particularly due to the greenhouse vegetable production development program.
In 2023, Brazilian agribusiness exported over US$250 million worth of seeds globally, totaling 47 thousand tons, and benefiting more than 120 countries, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Supply.
Saudi Arabia ranks as the 11th largest destination for Brazilian agricultural products, with exports totaling US$2.93 billion last year.
