Scheduled sugar exports grow to 1.78 million tons

The total number of ships waiting in Brazilian ports to ship sugar was 53 in the week ended October 6, compared to 50 the week before, according to a survey carried out by the Williams Brasil maritime agency.
According to the report, a shipment of 1.779 million tons of sugar was scheduled, against 1.47 million tons the week before.
1079 tons are scheduled to leave through the port of Santos (SP). Other ports scheduling sugar exports include Paranaguá (PR), with 557,120 tons; Maceió (AL), with 102,850 tons; and Recife (PE), with 43,000 tons.

The sugar to be exported is of the VHP (1.572 million tons) and B150 crystal (139,000 tons) varieties.
The agency’s report takes into account the vessels that are already anchored, those that are awaiting berthing, and those that are expected to arrive by November 16th.
