
Sow herd in China grows 6.6% by the end of October compared to 2020

Compared to a year ago, China’s sow herd grew 6.6% to 43.48 million head by October according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on the 26th.
However, the size of the herd – an indicator for the market in the largest consumer of pork in the world – dropped 2.5% compared to the previous month.
