
Soybeans: Brazil ships up to 5.79 million tons in August

Brazilian soybean exports totaled 5.79 million tons in August, according to a weekly survey by ANEC (the national association of grain exporters). In the same period last year, shipments equaled 5.57 million tons. In July, the country exported 7.97 million tons.
In the week of August 22 – 28, Brazil shipped 1.07 million tons. For the period between August 29 and September 4, ANEC indicates that 1.54 million tons were shipped. The year-to-date figure is expected to show that 74.26 million tons were shipped by the end of August.
For soybean meal, predicted exports should reach 1.37 million tons in August. In the same month last year, the total exported was 1.61 million tons. In July, the volume was 1.75 million tons.

Last week, exports totaled 119,220 tons and the forecast for this week is 604,870 tons. The year-to-date figure is expected to show 11.38 million tons exported by the end of August.
