The Port of Suape is partnering with CESAR (the Recife center for advanced studies and systems), located in the Porto de Digital environment. The objective is to assist the public company in developing innovative solutions to renew and streamline operations and enhance communication with the port sector in Brazil and abroad.
The initiative arises from the economic sustainability, operational efficiency, and increased handling that point to a continuous search for greater competitiveness in the national and international scenarios. In world-class ports, platforms are used for systems integration, communication between consenting parties, and process automation, such as the Port Community System (PCS).
See the chart below for a history of cargo handling at the Port of Suape since 2019:

Besides promoting greater interaction between the actors involved in the port operation such as shipowners, operators, maritime agents, inspection bodies, and the port authority, the development of an integrated platform will make Suape become a hub for the generation and dissemination of innovation and emerging technologies aimed at improving efficiency in port logistics. The work began two years ago with the dock digital transformation process to strengthen the ties between the port logistics sector and the innovation ecosystem of Porto Digital, of which CESAR is a part.
CESAR has already developed solutions for institutions such as the Brazilian Army and Petrobras and will provide a team of professionals over two years with expertise in the subject and market experience to create the integration tools that will result in the digitization of many of the routines that involve port operations.
