To promote open innovation within its territory, the Suape Industrial Port Complex launched the Suape Open Innovation platform on Thursday (August 31). This management model accelerates innovation in companies through partnerships with other corporations and Scientific and Technological Innovation Institutions (ICTs), enabling growth through exchanging experiences.
On the same occasion, the “Desenvolve.aí” program was introduced. This program was created by the Economic Development Agency of Pernambuco (Adepe) in partnership with Porto Digital, to identify challenges and market opportunities that can be addressed through innovation. The meeting, which took place from 10 am to 12 pm, brought together key players in the port and logistics sector.
Adriana Martin, Director of Innovation and Transformation at Suape, emphasized the importance of this initiative for the port community. “We are starting something that will contribute to the efficiency and productivity of the companies within the complex, and employees will realize that innovation is part of their routine. We have important examples of successful cases developed at the port, and the metrics don’t lie: the results are incredible,” said the manager.
PLATFORM
Companies can submit the challenges they face through the open channel on Suape‘s website, available in the Innovation section. After this step, the company fills in the fields with information about the organizations and selects the categories of interest, such as artificial intelligence, software development, programming, geoprocessing, geolocation, tracking, and more. The platform is part of the actions of the Suape Innovation Hub Program, which is formed by the port authority, the University of Pernambuco, and Softex, with the support of Facepe.
“Suape plays a fundamental role in the development of Pernambuco, and Adepe wants to join forces to boost our environment, innovation, and business ecosystem. We have a unique opportunity to connect problem solvers and qualified labor with the industries located in the state. The Suape Open Innovation will be an important tool that brings together similar initiatives in partnership with Adepe and other organizations in Pernambuco,” emphasized Pedro Neves, Director-General of Promotion, Innovation, and Productive Arrangements at Adepe.
