Sugar exports: July performance up 22.4% to 2.88M tonnes

Brazil exported 2.88 million tonnes of sugar and molasses in July, 22.4% more than in the same month of 2021 when it shipped 2.47 million tonnes.
Such a volume is 22% higher than the one seen in June this year, 2.36 million tonnes.
Revenue from exports in July was US$ 1.14 billion, 44.6% higher than the US$ 825.95 million in July last year and 23% higher than the US$ 926.78 million recorded in June this year.
The Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex) of the Ministry of Economy released the data regarding the 21 working days of July on the afternoon of August 1st.

Year-to-date, the country exported 12.66 million tonnes of sugar. Revenue in the period was US$ 4.99 billion.
The results represent a decrease of 17.15% and an increase of 0.62% compared to the same period in 2021.
